Was going to look for a firmware upgrade to the Ricoh but I can't find any firmware for it on line. I have checked and the Server is on SMB version 2.1 Not sure if it is a problem in the SMB communication or not. Turned off the firewall still no love for me. It happens almost every week, Updates that is. The server was updated in the time the last succesful scan took place. Taken away and granted them again no change to the outcome. I check and rechecked permissions on the folders and share. I have created a root level share on a drive and given everyone permissions to it and nothing works. I have tried using the FQDN, IP and even DFS Namespace. Thought I had it written down and I am not in front of the machine and Ricoh is one of the worst companies for providing access to or keeping logs.Īnyways. The only error I am getting when testing the folder from the Ricoh is "Error Communicating with the PC". The one on the 9th completed and the one on the 21st failed. I say this because the machine logs show no scans in between those times. Sometime between then and the 21st it stopped scanning. The Server is a Windows 2008 R2 File Server.Īs of the 9th of June it was scanning and working fine.

I was tasked with making it scan to a network folder and letting them print from it and not just make copies. We have a Ricoh MP W3600 Copier, Scanner Printer. I have read many forums and blogs on the issue.
